Does anyone know of any on-going problems with this service?. Sometimes I get it to work but more often than not I get the following messages.........

TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server
Account;news.cable.ntlworld.com
Server; news.cable.ntlworld.com
Protocol; NNTP
Port 119
Secure(SSL); 0
Code; 800ccc0f
Anyone got any ideas????

IMO - NTL Servers cannot handle the load, they removed many of the groups a long time ago. I think the message above means that the number of connections to the server is swamped...

I moved to Clara nearly a year ago now and haven't looked back since (yeah OK i have to pay £20 a year - but at least it's there and the retention is OK)
