im in bromley too and my net is going at a snails pace. Surfing is really slow, and im not even gonna try and download anything :dozey: And its only been for the past 3 days as well (no viruses, or spyware on my computer), i even tried without router and its still going slow. Something is going on in bromley :(

I'm in South London (SE15) - Bromley Exchange I think - and I'm having very sluggish web browsing at the moment.

I'm good with PCs generally - have a clean system and have rebooted the modem several times to no effect.

If you know others in your area that have the same problem it is most probably congestion thats causing the slow down.

Same problem. Would do a speed test but can't even get it to load. As usual nothing on Service Status

Im in Dartford which on the Bromley Exchange. Just downloaded 60meg update and that was fine at about 9mbs, which browsing is deadly slow just like the old days.

I just posted the proxy information NTL gave me over the phone to get web browsing back to normal whilst they rectify the situation:

Post number 7 has the juice.

given that this thread is almost identical to the link above and a merge would be confusing, I am closing this thread.
