A piece of email I recently sent to someone with an att.net address was returned as undeliverable because the SMTP server 62.253.162.45 (which is mta05-svc.ntlworld.com) is on a blacklist at att.net due to abuse.
It seems crazy that a large ISP can get its SMTP server(s) blacklisted like this. I'm pretty sure they are not open relays (that would be just *too* insane to contemplate), so I guess the reason must be that various NTL subscribers have been sending out spam.
Any comments? Is there anything NTL can do about this?
