Did you power off the SACM? Try powering the PC and SACM down, wait a couple of minutes, power up SACM, wait for lights to lock, power up PC.

Turn everything off, make a cup of tea. Turn on the modem, drink the cup of tea, turn on the router, wait until the rdy light stabilises, turn on the PC.

@nelsonn69 - you haven't got any other device plugged into the USB port on the modem have you? You must only have either LAN cable OR USB.

Try a different ethernet cable.

---------- Post added at 13:18 ---------- Previous post was at 13:17 ----------

And to re-emphasise: you can only use ONE of usb and ethernet at any one time.

why are you using usb?
You will get better speeds if you connect using cat5 cable, you of course need a ethernet card installed in your pc!

er the OP is trying to get ethernet running

Must say a Gigabit speed card is a bit OTT for a broadband connection ;)

i am on 10MG service, cable modem 250, linksys befsx41 router and 100Mbps ethernet card in my PC runining WindowsXP and it zips along.
As you know networks do run better this way as even NTL agrees !!!
