Now, as Hughes, Erickson and Marek travel back to rescue him, Stern stays back to find out what Doniger's really plotting.

Well, in David Thewlis they have an actor of the first magnitude.

I notice that the full review mentions that, by now extremely overworked device, a wormhole. So, where did they get the exotic matter to hold the mouth of the wormhole open; or don't they bother?

I like the precision of 1193 BC; no sometime around 1200 BC here. Anyway; I know who won, I know who won!

I'm a bit confused here; is it global warming or is it an Ice Age? Although if global warming stops the Gulf Stream, we Western Europeans will end up with a climate like that of Labrador.

Even by the flexible historical standards of Hollywood that would take some doing! But wait, didn't film #1 involve a time machine?

EDIT For the ultimate time machine/Hollywood novel, you can't beat Harry Harrison's The Technicolour Time Machine. And it's also highly amusing to boot.
