Technical hitch delays Thunderball result

The holders of Lottery Thunderball tickets are still waiting to find out if they have won any cash after a hitch with the machine used for the draw.

Ticket holders in the Thunderball Draw were last night told by Camelot to hang on to their tickets while a possible technical fault was examined.

Engineers are checking the machine used for the draw to ensure it was working correctly.

An update is expected today and all tickets should be retained for the time being, a spokeswoman says.

Thunderball draw results confirmed

The confirmed results of the lottery Thunderball draw have been announced after a technical hitch with the machine delayed last night's result.

The winning numbers were 2, 5, 21, 27 and 29 and the Thunderball was 8.

Two tickets scooped £250,00 0 each for matching all five numbers plus the Thunderball.
