Hi All!,

I wonder if anyone could answer a question for me. I am moving house in about 4 weeks and would like to know how I stand with my NTL contract.

I have only been with NTL for 8 months out of the 12 month contract. Can I cancel when I move without paying any penalties?

After 8 months of rebooting the STB once or twice a week to get the TV channels back, slow bb (1Meg??) and an email server throwing a hissy fit on a regular basis, I'd rather not have to get NTL fitted in my new flat!!!!!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

It's a top floor apartment in a block without cable in it (AFAIK). Although it's in Nottingham city centre so I guess there is NTL in the area...

if ntl cannot provide cable to the premises then they will canx it for you without any penalties.

i would expect that they would send a crew round to see about the possibility of getting it installed into the property first before doing this.

Hi Andre, peterska2 and eddie ! :)

If they can install it, Will there be another install charge (and will I be tied in for another 12 months?)

Last time I looked at the intranet, the house move was normally free, and there would be not be any extention to your 12months contarct

No, moving house is no charge, and it doesn't extend your contract.

If you do move to a non cabled area, ntl will require proof of address.
