STB Versions

As mentioned in another thread, I have a DITV2000, and a DITV4000 Set top box.

I have seen mentioned elsewhere that there are problems with different versions. Can anyone explain what problems have been encountered with the different versions ?

Personally I have had a nightmare with the 4000 series unit. Constant reboots (2-3 times a day) loss of upload ability, dropped broadband connections unresponsive set top box operations etc.
Swapped out twice before I twisted the engineers arm to give me a 1000 series again. Peace and harmony restored.

The DITV2000 is the main unit controlling the BB connection too ... I've had no problems with this at all. The DITV4000 is upstairs, doesn't do much really, but does lose the EPG.
