Hello all
i'm new to this forum so please accept apologies in advance if i'm asking a stupid question.
I have the 600k connection which is now running much slower than my aol dial up.
ok the service has never been great but it does seem to be getting worse.
I'm running Xp
Any advice would be greatfully recieved

My NTL 1 meg line was so bad I ditched it & had adsl installed. Too bad I didn't read the small print - I'm now stuck with a service that doesn't work (email) and is useless for the purpose I intended it for (gaming). Does anyone know a good contract lawyer??

sorry it's taken so long to reply to this but tuiday has been the first day that my system has completed the test but here are the results. Strangely enough my browsing has sped up a little today

1st 128K took 2003 ms = 65438 Bytes/sec = approx 544 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 4907 ms = 26711 Bytes/sec = approx 222 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 1883 ms = 69608 Bytes/sec = approx 579 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 2253 ms = 58177 Bytes/sec = approx 484 kbits/sec
