Why can't NTL do anything right ?

I changed my phone number, cost £10... Said it would start within 24 hours, within seconds the old number went dead and the new number was working.

So far so good !

However I have/had the £3.50 package, caller display, call barring Pin), anonymous caller reject, call waiting.

Um, I cant dial out..

Ring Ring
NTL:Oh, they changed the pin number, and should have given the new one to you.
Tell me the pin, and make sure all my other services are working
NTL: yes they are
Um, My number is being shown, It suppose to be withheld

Ring Ring
NTL: We donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t automatically do it
Even if I had already got it on the old number ?
No....

Um, call waiting donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t work
Ring Ring
NTL:I just added it back for you
But I was told they checked everything ?
NTL:Everything is now working as it should
Um, I cant dial out..

Ring Ring
NTL: They changed the pin number again
...

Bill arrives

Caller display August £1.75
Call display September £1.75
Call barring September £1.75
Call display September £1.75
Package £3.50
Caller display August £0.75
Call barring September £0.95
....
...
The list went on and on
Ring Ring....

Donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t do it, donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t change your number, in fact donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t change anything :Yikes:

On A good note, BT SMS comes "in" ok by voice message :)

Omg and I really want to change my number. I don't want to pay out for all those extra's though. The caller display is very handy.

They are getting better, this months bill only had an overcharge of £1.75
However....
I normaly pay by internet banking, unless there is a problem with the bill. Then when I have finished sorting out the problem I pay by Visa..

I quoted my Visa card number for the bill, and again for the broadband, 6 days later I get a letter telling be the card was refused on the phone bill....

It seams they store old numbers, even though I quoted the Visa number "Twice" they selected a card that was 4 years old from the system, naturally it never worked...

So if anyone pays by card make sure they remove it from the system after they take a payment, or it might come back to haunt you :)

Letter sent to head offfice !!!

Never a dull moment with NTL
