The A Team

Spitting Image (technically '80s and '90s, but it seemed funnier in the '80s).

You can usually download most classic TV on P2P.
Grab a copy of Shareaza (www.shareaza.com) which uses Gnutella, ed2k & BitTorrent and do some searching. :)

 :horror:

Blakes 7 was a cult sci-fi series on the BBC, cheap, tacky, but good ( at the time)

Airwolf
The A Team
Dukes of Hazzard
etc
etc

My Mum used to complain at us all that these were crap show, but my Dad used to reply, "Yes, I know, but they're really good crap" :)

lol - I was asking if it was an 80's show, but expressing myself badly.:D

- Blakes 7 also had some very attractive women & Orac the sarcastic computer;)

I used to like Airwolf, couldn't stand the A Team & only watched the Dukes of Hazard for Daisy's shorts:erm:

One of the weirdest programs had to be Sapphire & Steel.

Rab C Nesbitt was mainly 90s ... may have started in the very late 80s. Naked Video, from whence he came, was definitely 80s tho'.

yep, 1979-82. series one was written entirely by Terry Nation and hung together far better than what followed. three was still ok but four was appalling dross.

having grew up around horses when i was a kid i liked "follyfoot" and "black beauty", when i grew up (ahem) i loved "dads army" and "the tube"...."red dwarf" is always a classic..along with "allo allo".
"only fools and horses" still makes me laff.
i was quite partial to "minder" as well and i keep thinking of minder every time i watch my "phoenix nights" dvd and listen to max and paddy singing "i could be so good for you" (and the classic amarillo of course)

At most that was series 1, Red dwarf seems to enjoy taking long breaks between series, I believe series 2 didnt air until september 1990, and since there are 8 series I would say that categorises it as a 90's show ;).

What was Blake's 7?

An absolutly stunning early scifi series which is based around the explotes of Blake (a political prisonor) and his crew after they get there hands on the Liberator (an alien ship) and there battles against the evil(tm) empire.

The first season is Amazing and doesn't look too dated (even though it had the same sort of set budget as Dr Who) second seasons is okay but I haven't seen seasons 3/4 but I do know that the crew started to be chopped and changed.

If you can beg/borrow/steal season 1 then I would just to see what you missed.

As for the other shows
Dungons and Dragons,
Kinghtmare (and did I sooo want to be on that at the time),
The A team,
Tripods,
Dr Who,
Robin of Sherwood (another one that wen't a bit funny at the end)
Around the world in 80 days (cartoon)

scarlett.

Blakes 7 - most of us that grew up in the 70/80's still miss it! There's several clips and info on the BBC website:

The first series was great - the second series when it was "americanised" was dire. Also, it was a 1970's show (Series 1 was around 1977, I think S2 was about a year later).

Murun Buchstansangur was an odd fellow. Quite apart from his odd name he was also very odd looking. He was a small grey onion-shaped man with a mop of hair and clog boots. He lived under the dirty kitchen sink of an end-terrace house in a rather dreary, rain-swept suburb.

Who cares about the bump, I think I liked that programme, although perhaps I was to young as all I can really remember is Ivan/John/Johan/whoever sitting in a tree playing the lute, chasing a fox and singing this song

I'm a storyteller, and my stories must be told...I have many stories, tales for both the young and old...On my many travels I have seen many faces, many tales have I...from many places...In Russia I am Ivan, in England I am John...In Germany I'm Johan, In Sweden I am Jaaaaaaaaan
