Hi

Someone I know is looking to go to Australia but is having trouble finding the relevant VISA forms to fill in- apparently these are available online, but I can't find them either. Is there anything else he'll need to fill in or sort out before he goes?

Cheers.

No idea sorry, never been.

I just put "Australia Tourist Visa" into Google and that was the first result.

Hi.

We got ours through the Travel Agent.

Also, make sure you don't still have to have any jabs from your doctor.

My tip for going to Australia is to avoid everything.

Even the rocks there will jump up and bite you

anyone can get a 3 month holiday visa, but not everyone can get the 1 year working visa, there is a new 2 year visa but only if you work in remote places for 3 months. it is harder to immigrate though, but not entirely impossible.

just hit the Australian embassy website, so Mr Google shall help with that, and some of the links above.

it is fab, I highly recommend it. I want to go back ASAP to Sydney.

Another tip: At all cost avoid ordering half a pint of beer, as people will think you're a bit of a girl (http://fishbowl.pastiche.org/archives/pictures/receipt.jpg)

Can I just ask... if there are 2 adults and 2 children going there on holiday, do both adults need a VISA??

I would have thought one visa per person/passport

Here is a link to a skilled occupations list

If his occupation is there then have a look here...

I think he can migrate on a subclass 495 Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) visa... and this can be done online. Am hoping this is the right form.

I think he can only apply for this if he isn't going to one of the main places (sydney etc) though ?

You might be best calling their office in london.. http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/overseas_u.htm

Or using a migration agent.
