i was just looking at call1899.com and noticed a 3p connection fee applys to calls from a ntl/telewest line

is this 3p charged by ntl/telewest and appears on the phonebill or is it charged to your call 1899 account? :erm:

From my interpretation of the site- the 3p connection charge applies to all calls (even those from a BT line).

The access number given for ntl/tw is 0808 which is a freephone number, therefore the 3p charge must be coming from 1899.

I can confirm the above: it costs nothing to join them so I'm signed up to both call1899 and call18866 and they both have freephone access numbers, so the "connection fee" is what you pay them to use their service.

It's great when you phone a number and get the "this is a free phone call..." message :D
