This year has been a cracking year for films. There have been many great films (and a few disappointments) and some of them such as Bladerunner were a phenomenal experience at the cinema. Here is my top 10:

1) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
2) Wonder Woman
3) Bladerunner 2049
4) Spiderman: Homecoming
5) Fast 8
6) Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
7) Thor: Ragnarok
8) Beauty and the Beast
9) War for the Planet of the Apes
10) John Wick Chapter 2

What was your favourite? If you need a reminder have a look at this year's list here (http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=33703677).

Tough choice, especially between my top 2.

In the end, I settled on this list ;

1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
2. Wonder Woman
3. Spiderman: Homecoming
4. Kingsman: The Golden Circle
5. Justice League
6. Thor: Ragnarok
7. Jumanji
8. Logan
9. Star Wars Episode VIII
10. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

A respectable list and as a top 10 i can easily agree with it. What i find very very intetesting though is that you have put Jumanji ahead of Logan and Star Wars. Sure to turn a few heads :)

Im glad you put Jumanji in the list as thats what I picked (That came out in 1995)

I dont like anything else on the list :)

Seeming as though the thread is titled "what was your favourite movie this year?" it stands to reason that I was referring to Jumanji 2017 :banghead:

The list is just a guide for a fun poll. There are other films that have come out as well such as Goodbye Christopher Robin and Churchill etc which I didn't put on the list. You must have seen a new film this year so what was your favourite?

Quite obviously we are referring to the 2017 film, not 1995. :erm:

Based on this, and the fact its about to become 2018 anyway, I have updated the thread title to indicate 2017.

I was torn between Kingsman and Thor, but at last I picked Thor because the humour and entertainment were better.

It is amazing. If/when you watch it make sure the curtains are closed and the room is as dark as possible, watch it in surround sound and if you know anyone who has got a 3D tv then even better. I don't know how they did or why it is different but the 3D in Blade Runner looks different to all the other films I have seen in 3D. It is so smooth and natural and you don't think "oh that's cool 3D" and notice something is behind something else. You watch it and don't consciously think about it because it looks like what you would see through your eyes in real life. It is a really really superb film.

I had never heard of Get Out until I started watching all the films nominated for the big awards and I was pleasantly surprised. Stuff like The Florida Project is an absolute joke and you wonder who pays for shit like that to be made but Get Out is what I call a "proper" film where it had a proper story, entertained you and you wanted to keep watching.

Sure, and i thought the sequel was better than the first as well. They are making a third one in case you didnt know.
