View Full Version : Reusing old analogue cabling

I have ordered a new VM install next week. I already have cable into the house, but when it was installed many years ago it was Telewest analogue (ex Eurobell area).

Is this cable still OK for 100M broadband and digital TV? Will the engineer replace it? Should I ask them to replace it, in case it's marginal and might not support the full speed.

Any recommendations or things to look out for?

Do they use the same coax cable for Tivo, V HD, and broadband? I need to decide where to have the hub and V HD box installed. I presume they split the cable at the outside junction box (brown box where it enters the property)

it will be fine, if the signal levels are too low they'll book an rg11 re-pull.
