Free Virgin Media Super Hub: Available to all new broadband customers taking our 30Mb, 60Mb or 100Mb broadband services, and to existing customers upgrading to 30Mb, 60Mb and 100Mb broadband

yup, I knew you was right because it made sense. Having all those tiers must have been a nightmare and it makes sense to start from scratch and clean it up. Just imagine what it would have been like if they kept going and introduced 200mbit and 400mbit. We would be on XXXXXXXXL (slight exageration)

I remember the argument was everyone that is on ten meg is getting upgraded to 30, which isn't the case, only new customers or customers that have a superhub will get 30, the rest gets 20

Which is what I have said all along :D

Maybe eventually people will be upgraded to 30 meg from 20.

So everyone will then be on 30, 60, 120 meg.

I'm being offered 60meg for that price; though 'existing customer offers'.

At the moment its £5 a month to be upgraded from 10 to 30 meg.Don't see how. That would be more like the jump from L to XL, which is now 60Mbit

borrissey

Carl that was what my brother was quoted he's only got 10 meg BB and phone with VM.

RealDiamond

£5 per month extra and £49.95 install fee for very little work to go to 60Mb/s.
would be even quicker if the super hub was activated before the engineer got there.
They won't even have time to wait for the Kettle to boil to make the Tea.

Currently waiting for the VM phone call that will remove the install fee and makes the upgrade completely free offer that others have been getting.

I assume if 60Mb/s is not ready in your area you get put on to 30Mb/s untill double speed is active and you then get 60Mb/s

Had the phone call
Don't have the right bundle to get 60Mb/s free offer.
Instead got moved early to 30Mb/s Totaly free this wednesdays.

( this upgrade to 30Mb/s from 10Mb/s will happen to all 10Mb/s users in the end according to CS, Im just being moved early now.)

That is what i think will happen next year once they have completed the speed doubling rollout

Actually that is not what you posted either and it does say the magic words does it not as in UPGRADING which is not for free, so do please try not to bend words into something they are not, it is still not that dream of a free upgrade so once again you are wrong.https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2012/04/8.gifhttps://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2012/04/8.gifhttps://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2012/04/8.gif

My son upgraded from 10M to 30M two weeks ago with engineer installed superhub for no installation cost and no increase in subscription, THIS IS FACT!!

PS Close your mouths

30MB minimum by end of 2012

Had this confirmed by retentions yesterday that all 10M users will be doubled to 20M initially and then increased to 30M by year end in most areas, this is due to BT Infinity increasing speeds. Quote "Virgin require to be the best provider"

It appears that this offer of 30Mb/s has not filtered down to Most staff at VM yet.
You have to get lucky.

There is no plan to upgrade all 10Mbit customers to 30Mbit

Customers will move on to 30Mbit or higher when taking out one of the new collections, but that requires a recontract whereas the normal uplifts don't

I think you should read Ben's post as he will be a lot more accurate than you could ever be seeming as it is his job to know about such things, plus apart from your silly post the is no link to anything to support your wild imaginings.

It seems, unsurprisingly, that there's "what should happen" and "what can happen" situations.

I was upgraded from 10M to 30M two weeks ago. I was sent a Superhub free of charge, without taking a new collection, but with a new 12mth contract.

According to Peter what has happened to you and my son is impossible, OK you signed a new 12 month contract, but if you were not leaving anyway that's no big deal.

Ben is the only person posting on here that is in any way correct anything ssr states is pure fantasy as oddly he posts from his imagination which has no connection with reality, can he post a link? of course not because fantasies are not in real world.

Now if this had any credence in fact it would be the most talked about subject on the Community Forum and as it has not even had a mention you can safely assume that this is a product of a overzealous imagination and nothing more.

I take you failed to actually read the post in full and only read upgrade, show us a link then, but we already know such a link does not exist.

Again do also please show us the very long thread discussing this upgrade on the Community forum, I know that you cannot because such a thread does not exist except in your imagination as oddly it would be the main focus of that forum if any of this were true.

Virgin Media customers will now receive a minimum download speed of 30Mbits/sec after a revamp of the cable provider's tariffs.
Virgin's L package will now be offered at speeds of up to 30Mbits/sec,
Existing customers on 10 or 20Mbits/sec connections will be upgraded free of charge, according to Virgin,

Over to you Peter

BenMcr

Existing customers on 10 or 20Mbits/sec connections will be upgraded free of charge, according to VirginJust to point out that doesn't say what to, and is lumping 20Mbit customers in who are going to 60Mbit.

Doesn't actually prove anything about 10 > 30

I think the above is basically saying those with a superhub will get 30Mb (by the end of the year!)

Well he was also wrong on new signups, my friend who has a 5meg upload as a brand new customer, tried to get it fixed to 10meg and was told to wait until upgrades are done in the area.

Now that again is not what you said in the first place either in this thread or your previous thread, the will be many people left on 5Mb who will be upgraded from 1Mb and 2Mb, plus the will be many people left on 10Mb as they will not get a free upgrade to 30Mb as they will still have a standard modem, do please realise that your dream is not reality.

Superhubs have been the default modem since the 21/12/2011 but an engineer could have still fitted a standard hub to get rid of the older stock.
