Can anybody tell me if the below settings are, good or bad.

Thanks
Setch

power levels are bit low should be between +3 and -7

Thanks Harryn9000. What sort of impact would I expect to see with levels like this?

Don't you mean -3 and +7.. They're at +9 atm, not optimal but should still work OK, SNR and also upstream power is OK

i would still want a -5 attenuator put on it though.

I'd put a -6 on it personally.

kymmy i meant those firgures fella my was higher than that and i got loss of speed was main issue i had engineer round yesterday and -7 is what virgin look for it to be at and i'm getting full speed now after taking atunenator off if it going through a splitter that can add +5 onto your reading.

The superhub seems quite tolerant of high downstream power levels so I doubt the OP will have a problem.

Despite specifically asking the installation technician whether he should check the power levels when our VM internet was installed (the existing connection to the VM network had not been used since 2007) all he was interested in was getting sync (to my surprise the house was still connected at the cabinet). The downstream power levels vary from > +12 dBmV to < +14 dBmV which is a lot higher than optimal, but the connection is stable and operates without problem.

Best regards
David
