Are these stats fine?
My connection is slugging as if I have too many lost packets
can you post upstream too.
why is ds1 much higher than ds 2,3,4 ?

Last year an engineer put 2 -10db attenuators on my modem as I had a pretty strong signal due to the cabinet being right next to my home. Could this be the reason?
and how come the down channels are not grouped?
did the engineer move your cable line in the cab, onto a lower level if it was on a high in the first place.
With the uncorrectable codewords being much higher than the correctable ones it suggests noise. The power levels are ok.
Tighten every connection you can find for starters. If that dosent help, then get on the phone to them and get an engineer out.

the downstream channels arent grouped becuase there are a set of more than 4 available, however the VMNG is only picking up 4 of them.
Having one channel with higher power than the others is a non-issue, unless its out of spec
Theres pretty much zero uncorrectables there, as 300 or so usually pop up on connection, if they rise during use there could be a problem
Got to be load issue network end, set up a thinkbroadband ping monitor and see what it looks like
can the OP not using all available channels limit performance?
Fair point on the uncorrectables.
4 vs 8 is an argument you dont want to get into. It may be worse, it may be better. His modem is only capable of 4 though so no point worrying until they are common and 120meg is out.

Can you do a test in pingtest.net
they should never use more than one attenuator on a piece of equipment, they should lower the tap in the cab if your getting too much signal.

doesnt make a difference using more than 1, its just better practise to change the tap at the cab. There could be other reasons like not having an available tap

Only works if you have your own tap.

Using more than one does make a difference. You lose more signal and gain more noise.
