Another +2 month delay for my area. How did I know they were going to be unable to meet their previous schedule?

Yes, far cry from the "Imminent availability" and "well ahead of schedule" they bragged about a year or two ago...

Even further away from the "by the end of 2011" some media outlets (including CableForum) originally quoted.

If I remember right seems Uddingston has moved forward, sure "Richard Branson" pointed at July or June when I checked...but then again I'm suppose to get the upload this month maybe its lucky for Virgin that there is an extra day this year :)

"Richard Branson" hasn't pointed at anything to do with the 100mb roll-out.

You're thinking about the 120mb rollout which is completely different.

Yeah but its a bit hard to double my speed from 50mb if 100mb isn't available tho...

Hehe indeed maybe they will sort out both things at the same time if they are actually working on the network.

Its not accurate at all. Staverton went 100mb mid Feb, its still listed as Apr 12.

Is this connected to or separate from the download speed upgrades?

my area was showing as April now May for the upload speed upgrade but the faster download speeds as March/April?

is that now 2 years and people are still waiting?

If it says "available now" does that mean I have it? Sorry to sound thick.. Haven't noticed any difference..well apart from my darn USB doodah thing cutting out every so often..

Oh just realised do I have to reboot the router and hub to get the 100mb?

To get changes to take effect you need to restart the router.

Rebooting your router will not magically put you on a service you haven't paid for.

We are paying for a 50mb connection, so therefore we get the extra 50mb that Virgin are giving us.. I'm not sure where you get the idea I am not paying for this service..hmmm

Thanks a lot.. Just rebooted and am keeping fingers crossed that the USB access thingy, that came with the "N" hub, doesn't kick me out..lol

It's been said three times this thread has nothing to do with that.

Martin as per before there is no need to start a new thread every time you talk about the speed upgrades. You can add it to an existing thread.
