Thought this was a bit interesting... Kinda almost admitting the super hub has range issues??

They quote that it struggles with 300 at long range. I think it is bs though as there is little reason why a bonded channel would be worse at long range. Thinking its more that the processor in the hub struggles with the throughput!

LMAO.

Maybe they finally got the hint from me repeatedly pointing out the default 300mbps setting violates WiFi alliance standards and disqualifies the device from WiFi certification.

(Should also say the 145mbps settings is a lie, it's probably MCS15 with short GI at 144.4 Mbps. 145mbps mode does not exist in 802.11n)

I'll point out Mark Wilkin has previously proven he has absolutely no idea how wireless works, and almost everything he says about it is not only wrong but the complete opposite of the truth (see the '5Ghz article'. So much so I'm not even going to bother reading the rest of his post (300Mhz mode?! FFS)

When I tried it on 300Mbps with the original firmware a network file transfer keeled it over in minutes. I forget what the transfer rate was but do recall it was hardly impressive.

I could only get the superhub reasonably stable at 300mbps by going to 5mhz.

I found I got a slightly higher through put on lan transfers than 145mbps at 2.4ghz.

Although the superhub was more stable in this config it still fell over quite regularly. Wired and/or wireless performance was affected. Occasionally it even screwed up my laptop so bad only a reboot would get it back online and seeing networks.

The superhub is complete and utter rubbish.

Save your sanity and put it in modem mode.

from wha ti can tell superhub is onyl really stable in the lower speeds but evevn then it crap compared ot other devices
