View Full Version : 50M Just Upgraded to 50mb - What Will Happen ?

I upgraded from 10mb to 50mb on Monday 30th January. We've already had the letter advising we will be 'doubled' to 20mb...perhaps by July. So my questions are:-

Will I still qualify for 'doubling' ?

if Yes, 50mb is currently the max for my area, so..
will the cost of my package go down as a result ? and/or

when 100mb comes to Peterborough, will I then be doubled ? or will I have to 'upgrade' to 100mb and incur the additional cost again ?

I'm not griping here....just like not know what I'm likely to get...if anything!

regards

Trev

You'll go to 100 when it's your areas upgrade time

it's always the few that spoil it for the many. How many peeps do you think we'll get posting saying their connections are unusable and crawl along at 10k?

I thought the technical term for networking issues in VM was "tits up"

By April i think all areas will have been upgraded for 100Mb broadband. So when your area is due for doubling you will get 100Mb and not a price cut.

Haha, I'll believe that when I see it. It's February, they've been at it 14+ months, and don't even have the 50mb upgrades done here yet.

I live for the day that any upgrade works with no bother or stress. Never mind Virgin.Been with them for years. The problem gets sorted & the people I have always found (when I get to them )very helpful but still .....;)
Even with Firefox every upgrade causes problems.

For the third time, learn to use a spellchecker.

And I said 50mb upgrades. They haven't done the upgrades to the 50mb service they started 14 months ago to enable the full 10:1 service.
