Hi,

We're currently subbed to the 10mb internet, L TV and M phone line which comes to £39.90 /month. I'm looking at upgrading to 30mb which according to the VM site (if I build a new bundle) will cost us an extra £5/month. I'm aware that because I have an old Ambit200 modem I'll need to pay the £30 for activation on a new superhub modem, so in total this should cost us £5 extra/month plus a one-off £30 fee.

Now, apparently if I try to upgrade online I'll gave to wait a couple of days for a 'custom price' ( https://shop.virginmedia.com/change-your-package ) however take a look at this; apparently I also have to pay £75 for the superhub??

One-off costs breakdown

£105.00Total one-off costs

£30.00Added to your next month's cable bill
£30.00 Broadband activation

£75.00Pay by credit or debit card now
£75.00 Virgin Media Super Hub

Please advise, VM's pricing structure is very confusing and I loathe to pay for something that new customers seem to get for free.

Thanks in advance :-)
