Tech support think its my end and my PC, hmmmm so thats why games lag on xbox and the lappy gets simlar speeds.
The so called 50mbps is a rip off.

have you tried the london and maidenhead servers?

What are you basing your "rubbish" assumptions on other than speedtests. I always know my connection is going to be poo during the evenings which is why i don't do anything other than gaming and browsing. During the day it flies and I can pull 6mb/sec all day (and all night :) )

What he means is, if the only slow speed your seeing is via a speed test then you need to stop complaining and just use your internet.

If however your seeing issues elsewhere then there is a problem.

Far too many people think a speed test result is important. I never ever get 100Mb on any speed test including the VM one .. yet I download at 11MB/sec 24/7 ..

and following on, the reason why i suggested trying the london server (and maybe two others) is because you'll get different results from each. I use the london server as a reliable test because I know that more often than not, I'll get 50mbit from it and 5 up, however the max i'll ever get from liverpool is 25/3, but that doesnt mean my connection is screwed.

Regardless of your speedtest result, if you can download from something like torrents, which can saturate your downstream, and you are pulling 4-5mb/sec then you know everything is ok
