I don't see how they won't at very least renew BB, CSI:NY, Mentalist, both NCIS, both Criminal Minds and the best shows of the lot in that pile Hawaii 5-0 and the good wife
Anyone else think that CSI:miami is going down the pan and that CSI:LV has lost a lot since WP left. They are though still watchable
Apparently Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0 and Mike & Molly have been renewed.

I really hope that Nikita gets renewed...
I am glad Castle got a season 4 after season 3's finale
CSI:NY renewed, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior cancelled.

I'm glad it went that way, I never really liked CM:SB but CSI:NY is probably my favourite CSI series.

Different networks. However if Nikita doesn't get a renewal, then you can have a moan at the CW for keeping Gossip Girl ;)
Nikita and One Tree Hill have both been renewed, Hellcats has been cancelled.

Good news about Nikita. Not too bothered about Hellcats but it was actually quite a good show.
All the TBC's have now been updated.
I'm gunna have to catch up watching this but The Killing has been renewed by AMC.

Camelot has been cancelled by Starz.

Hmm, thats a bit of a surprise, I thought it had been reasonably well received. I watched them all, and it was ok, I preferred Game of Thrones myself.
There's a few reasons going around, one is that it cost $7m an episode apparently. Another reason is that there was a load of contract issues.
The Event - I really liked it, but the writing was on the wall when it was bumped to the graveyard slot on CH4

As usual, canned just when it was starting to get good :(

Camelot - I didn't find it surprising that it was cancelled. IMO it got worse with each episode, plus it suffered from a lot of unfavourable (but IMO very fair) comparisons to Game of Thrones. Ratings weren't great, reviews weren't great.
The Event - the problem is it took so long before it "started to get good"! ;) It did improve after its forced re-tooling during the longer-than-normal mid-season hiatus, but it was way too late by then, as the damage had been done.

I agree with you about `lie to me`,i love the show. Mind you did you notice how more agressive dr. lightman got in the last series? it did irritate me a little
Wow, I can't believe I'm saying this but SyFy have cancelled Eureka. The good news is we'll still get to see the rest of season 4.5, a Christmas special and the 5th season. I just hope that it gets a proper ending because apparently filming is almost over.

NOOOOO!... I LOVE EUREKA! And it's one of SyFys best rated shows...so I'm not quite sure why they've cancelled it...
And as they've almost finished filming S5 I doubt the ending will wrap up all of the story arcs...

I agree with that completely!
The problem is that SyFy treats the show badly. I mean come on, Eureka season 4 started airing the same day as Warehouse 13 aired its second season and now W13 is on it's third season whilst Eureka is now on 4.5.
Another great show killed :(
I hope W13 and Haven manage to survive.

I can`t believe Eureka is being cancelled,it`s a fantastic program. As others have said why is it all the good programs are being cancelled but the crap survive? Could it be that the crap programs are cheaper to make?

I think you got it in one.
I watched Eureka's initial first 3 episodes the other week. Couldn't get into it, I found it rather slow and boring

Damn :(
I'm doubtful about a proper ending... Syfy had prematurely announced a 6 episode 6th season before then scrapping that idea and just cancelling it after season 5... I think those 6 would have been for tying things up.
The problem is that SyFy treats the show badly. I mean come on, Eureka season 4 started airing the same day as Warehouse 13 aired its second season and now W13 is on it's third season whilst Eureka is now on 4.5.
The reason season 3 and 4 were each split in two was because they each had larger orders than seasons 1 and 2.
Season 1: 12 eps, started in July 2006.
Season 2: 13 eps, started in July 2007.
Season 3: 18 eps, first set of 8 started in July 2008, second set of 10 started in July 2009.
Season 4: 19 eps, first set of 9 eps started in July 2010, second set of 10 in July 2011. There was also a Christmas special this season.
Another great show killed :(
I hope W13 and Haven manage to survive.
I don't know what Haven's ratings are like, but Warehouse 13 is AFAIK still Syfy's highest rated show, and although it features some SFX it's probably still cheaper than Eureka.
I can`t believe Eureka is being cancelled,it`s a fantastic program. As others have said why is it all the good programs are being cancelled but the crap survive? Could it be that the crap programs are cheaper to make?
Yup.
From Amy Berg's Twitter:

Everyone is asking why. It's simple, really.
We are the network's golden child in every way, except profit margins. Fact is, #Eureka is an expensive show to make.
And we could not maintain the quality of our show with the cuts it would take to make us profitable for Syfy's new parent company.
Well they've been given an extra episode to wrap things up since it's too late to make the season finale episode a proper series finale.

Warehouse 13 has officially been renewed for a fourth season :)
http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/08/11/warehouse-13-renewed/
Here’s some sunny news for Syfy viewers: Warehouse 13 just got renewed for a fourth season.
Syfy will bring back the show for another 13 episodes in 2012. The renewal isn’t at all surprising considering the show was up 15 percent during its third season among adults 18-49 for its first couple episodes this summer, with the first five episodes averaging 3.2 million viewers once you include DVR data.
True Blood has been renewed for a fifth season. :D
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/08/11/true-blood-renewed-for-a-fifth-season-by-hbo/100230/

You've never seen White Collar?!
It's a comedy-drama from the USA Network, the same cable network which shows Burn Notice.
Neal Caffrey, a con-artist & forger, is caught by the FBI's Peter Burke. Instead of sending him back to prison, Burke ends up using Caffrey as a consultant for the New York FBI Office's White Collar division... Each week features Neal & Peter solving another crime, conning a conman, stealing from a thief, etc. There's also an arc running through each season.
It's great fun. Good cast, good characters, fun stories.
and i cant belive we have to wait till january to see the rest of the season

You need to remedy that, then! :)
Brilliant action-drama, with touches of comedy. Great fun, and a great cast (including the legendary Bruce Campbell).
Burn Notice is great. If you do watch it, don't be put off by Gabrielle Anwar's Oirish accent in the pilot - she drops it after that.
Oh, and try White Collar too.

Excellent news :) I didn't watch blood and sand but I'll watch Sparticus "proper" season 2 :)
I think you're getting the seasons mixed up, season 1 was Blood and Sand, then there was the prequel season because of Andy Whitfield's cancer, now we're getting season 2 which is Vengeance. So have you saw season 1 or just a mix up with the names? Cause season 1 was awesome, so was Gods of The Arena.

No V or Smallville, what Prats.
Personally think Smallville came to a natural end. Can't see how you can have a series about the not-Superman years when he's working at the Daily Planet and the actor is 34 (almost the same as Christopher Reeve was in the first film) ;)
But its more of a normal set, how how he become the man he is today, now they should change its name to SuperMan or something or even continue with Smallville, i loved this program.. hes only just learnt how to fly! lol
But its more of a normal set, how how he become the man he is today, now they should change its name to SuperMan or something or even continue with Smallville, i loved this program.. hes only just learnt how to fly! lolExcept the whole show as built on the 'no tights, no flights' rule i.e. he wouldn't be Superman during the shows run. It was only because it was ending that they let Clark become him
It was his destiny to become super man, it was only a matter of time, and to complete all the trials etc etc.... then he become who he was meant to be! just sucks, all this crap on tele lately... and the good progs get cut
It was on for 10 years, that's an excellent run for a show.

I think the only reason Falling Skies hasn't been canned as well is because it is relatively cheap to make. At least that is the impression I get.
I enjoyed both shows mainly as they both were what I classify as "wine in hand and feet up" types of show where you didn't have to think too much about the storyline.

Just LV so far, I don't think they'll just cancel any of them because they've spent loads of money on all 3. Chances are they'll get a final season or enough time to end them properly.
LV has had a revamp with the 2 new and 1 semi-new characters this year and is looking really good. Miami needs to be seriously put to bed and NY is still going strong..

While I don't know what goes through the mind of a TV Company exec, I wonder if Fox are trying to keep JJ Abrams sweet. OK, apart from Lost, he doesn't have a great record for successful TV shows, but he has an excellent record for successful movies. Might be worth their while to throw a few million at a failing TV series if it'll increase the chances of him making a blockbuster with them that earns them hundreds of millions.

Brilliant news. Finally, a great SF show *not* cancelled by Fox...
As for why... everything I've read suggests it's likely to simply be that Warner offered it cheap enough for Fox to pick it up again, due to Warner wanting more episodes to make it better for syndication.

Real shame that Harry`s Law has been cancelled. The Yanks are quite ruthless and don`t give shows long enough to develop in my opinion. Hopefully someone else will pick it up.
Once Upon A Time, Surburgatory, Revenge, Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy and Castle have been renewed.

Any news on season 2 of unforgettable
Bones has been renewed for an 8th season
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s117/bones/news/a373912/bones-renewed-for-season-eight-by-fox.html
But alas, the Bones spin off "The Finder" has been cancelled by Fox.
And after THAT ending too :(

I know, that ending makes you wish you hadn't saw the episode. It'd be great if the next season of Bones sorted out that cliffhanger.
Apparently CSI:Miami has been cancelled and NY has been renewed.

Very surprised that they let Miami get that bad.. They did well with the reinvention of CSI:LV and CSI:NY has been going from strength to strength.. Why on earth didn't they try something this year with CSI:Miami????
Yeah, CSI:M got way too scifi-ey if you know what I mean. Plus it was constantly filled with cheesy dialogue and the need to tell us how to do everything, not to mention the crap filters they used which made the episode look proper orange.
In other news, it turns out Unforgettable is completely forgettable since that has been cancelled. NYC 22 and Rob have also been cancelled.

Noooooooooooooooo!!! I liked that show. Okay, maybe just for the leading lady, but the show wasn't too bad either ;):p:
Shame about NYC22 as it had a lot better characters than Rookie Blue...

Unforgettable really was rather unfortunately named.
NYC 22... Perhaps it's time CBS tried something new other than a police procedural...

In previous years its normally renewed in Jan / Feb so the fact it had been left this late means its not a great surprise.

If that is the one with Ricky Gervase I can say I have never watched a single episode as I just cannot stand the Guy.
In case it's some other show called The Office I've got me coat already. :D
