Try as I mght I can't connect to my superhub from any laptop using wifi - wired connections are fine and if I cascade my old router from the superhub on one of the network ports and use that as the wifi gateway then all my laptops can connect.

ANy ideas ?

check what channel your superhubs wireless is using, if its above 11, some devices wont be able to connect

make sure your wireless network cards have the latest drivers

To add to this channel 6 is the one with greatest compatibility with most devices

Your wifi drivers are out of date, go to windows update then optional updates

Check that your wireless devices are not Atheros if they are you will need to connect via ethernet and update them.

Had a similar problem the other day and a quick reboot of the superhub sorted it.

Surprisingly I got one once.

Still never addressed the issue though.

Generally "a callback" means they have worked their way through their script and are still as clueless as when they started but now need to get you off the line so they can annoy someone else. :D

We had a callback from india, the first day we got the superhub installed it wouldn't connect wirelessly, but eventually we found out our self that it was down to the wireless channel (same problem we had on bt with their homehub)

anyway around 10pm we got a phone call asking if everything was up and running...

Heh, I've never had call backs either, but I've had at least 2 agents put the phone down on me. Yes, you read that right, they cut the call.

iv had that, only once from virgin, but many many times from talktalk/tiscali if it cant be resolved with a re-boot, then you get boot-ed

Hehe so what else is new. That's what happens when they reach the end of the script without any resolution and you refuse to be mucked about with a call back. :D

Indeed. I managed to get the problem resolved (on my birthday :D) later thanks to the Community Forum when it was 'sane' (i.e. one day response time) and as you can guess, utilisation! And the same happened again in January, I didn't even call the call centre this time.

Well Im waiting for another call back after the third engineer FAILED to fix the wireless problem, I was told it would be same day as he failed to install or next day... 3 days later... NO CALL!

IT'S A JOKE I TELL YA!

Why are they sending engineers out for a wireless problem?

Guy called me back three times..

Once because I hung up since he was taking over 45 minutes to confirm a problem and I thought I was being messed around.

Second to actually sort the problem and the third to ensure everything was fixed.

Nearly had a heart attack :p

Most unusual for India!:D

Im an engineer and we shouldnt be called out for wifi issues, we have no tools for wifi and all we can do is swap the hub or do simple checks the call center can do with you

had install done today, engineer only tested wired which worked ok. He left me to it but wireless just would not connect so rebooted the superhub and it worked straight away.

They just installed 50mb and the wireless drops for fun, I have rebooted 5 times today.
Its total rubbish, I get 4-5mb wireless, I got 8mb wireless on the 10mb with my old G router.
I want my money back as 50mb is **** poor:rolleyes:
