Hopefully some VM techie will see this and help :)

I have called the phone number and emailed using the web form. 48hrs later the doors are still open with cables exposed. I found out that the lock was broken by a VM engineer as he didnt have the key :/ My neighbour watched him do it. Please can a engineer be called to fix this. I dont want the internet to go down and that of the street too! School kids walk by everyday its a major shortcut to schools nearby. Just doing my bit, tried to close the doors when i get home from work, but this street box needs attention please :)

The location is right next to 56 Mayfield Crescent, N97NJ, where the road meets Woodstock Crescent.

cheers

if the door has been left open by an engineer, then they usually send someone out to lock it up within 48 hours, but if the lock was broken off, then the door will need replacing, and this will probably take longer.

If it gets to the point where kids are pulling the wires out, put them back in yourself and put your own lock on, and when VM arrive to fix it you can give them the key. if your not around when they arrive then tough luck, they should have come out earlier

Or rather than padlocking shut a utility providers cabinet, you can report the issue on the Street Equipment Hotline... 0330 333 0444. They will take the location details and get someone round to sort it out.

if you didnt notice that had already been done twice with no response... hence why i said lock it yourself!!!

Not recommended as that "could" be viewed as tampering with equipment you don't own.

better than letting kids tamper with equipment you don't own (in a negative way rather than a positive way)

its been closed now :) thanks for the tips, had thought if locking it myself, but that might probably lead to trouble from the council or VM hehe.
