My 250 is starting to show signs of age, signal levels varying and cutting off whilst loading up pages. (like on forums)
Could you advise if a replacement is still available (don't want to give house room to a hub in any shape or form).
I feed into a Buffalo Air Station N router which has a great wireless range, and 2 laptops besides main desktop.

If you ring Technical Support they will send out a Ambit 256 for you.

Yes, delivery of replacement in 5 days.
You will need to call Quickstart on 0800 053 9500 once you have connected the new modem and give them the new MAC address so they can add it to your account to activate it.

Following 2 text messages, 1 last night, second this mornng got a 256 before lunch.
Power supply supplied was 12volt 1amp, against supply requirement of 10volt 1.2amp.
Used original 250 modem power supply to be safe.
(Packaging showing how to wire a hub up?)
Running now perfectly!

the 10-12v difference probably would not matter as they're fully regulated inside the case..
