Why should they have anything planned?

The whole point of it is to motivate ISP's, not for ISP's to take part.

They should be allowing us to use ipv6 on their network, docsis3 is capable of ipv6, why not give it a go?

Sadly a tad more complicated than giving it a go, there's DNS, DHCPv6, etc, etc.

Things could go quite wrong, best to leave it be unless a controlled trial is feasible.
