mobile gold/vip numbers? anyone have one? cheapest place to get em?

im interested in getting a memorable number? ive checked ebay and considering to make a purchase

im on t-mobile contract at mo, is it easy to transfer number across?
any additional costs...

I used to have one, no problems with porting it. Once you've bought the number they send you the SIM card. Call up that network to register it then ask for your PAC code. Take it to your current network and it's all done in a day or so.
