Hub query

I am having TV,BB and phone installed on Saturday,so could someone tell me if the hub for the BB is sent ahead of the installation or is it brought by the installer? I thought I read somewhere that it is posted to you,if so,should I be worried because it hasn't turned up yet.One last question,would a frozen garden halt the installation of the cable since I don't know the method they use to bury the cable?Here's hoping the snow that is forecasted bypasses the northwest:)

If the ground is too hard to dig they will surface lay it around the edge in plastic conduit, the cable will then get booked in for a rebury at a later date and will get burried then.
