Can anyone help? I have a Bush freesat hd box and I can`t get bbc 1 hd on it despite trying everything advised to do, e.g. leave on stand-by over night and even switched the whole lot off over night. I get itv hd ok and bbc hd on channel 109 fine but no bbc1 hd on channel108! Anyone help please?

That advice is specifically for the Ross model 8130. I don't think there's any way it could be relevant to a Bush official Freesat box.

I suspect a call to Bush customer services might be in order here ... get yourself started on their product support page here: http://www.bushdigital.co.uk/ProductSupport.htm

Doh.. never realised that they did bush official freesat boxes especially with all the talk about FTA boxes..

Can you manually tune the freesat boxes??

The method varies a little from model to model, but yes, you should be able to find and make use of 'non-Freesat mode' on all Freesat boxes, for manual tuning. This isn't ideal because it lists those channels separately and excludes them from the EPG, but will work as a quick fix.

OP, have you tried a full re-scan on the box to see if it picks up BBC1 HD? Switching it off at the mains may not force a full re-scan.

:)Thanks guys for your help. I have now got bbc1 hd by doing a manual tune through the non-freesat section. It may not be ideal way but at least I`ve got it! Again thanks to all who have offered help
