How to lengthen cable?

Is there anyway of lengthening the cable that comes from my wee white box to my set top box? Essentially it is only a few feet long and I need it longer by another half foot - seemingly it has got to sit in the middle of the wall for my wife to be truly happy - a few inches off just does not cut it :)
