Help running cable to upstairs room

Hi there

I managed to get a roll of the white cable from the engineer that visited. basivally I will be running the cable from the living room to my upstairs study.

What is the best way of running the cable? Ideally i wish to run it beneath the carpet but the coazial cable seems rather fat and will probable stick out.

What have others done?

One way is to pick it up outside and run it up the side of the house and in through the study window or run it through the cupboard(if you have one) under the stairs and come out upstairs under the floorboards :)

All the above is a moot point as you are not allowed to rerun it anyway:erm:

and If you had the engineer there why didn't you get him to rerun it officially or unofficially.?
