Internet keeps dropping out (Cambs area)

Since last night the Internet has decided to work for about 2 minutes at a time, then it stops for about 3 minutes. It is still doing it as I type this (waiting for it to work again so i can post!)

Anyone know if this is a problem in the whole area? I've done the usual of rebooting the modem/router. I'm using a wired connection.

Yes my READY light was flashing at 5am this morning when i went to work and still flashing at 6pm when i got home!

The status page said there was a fault which appears to have now 'mostly' been fixed as of 8.15pm.

I have the same issue in Harlow, started yesterday evening sometime. Seems to be ok this morning, so will keep fingers crossed

Stevenage area exactly the same crap and it's normal for Virgin media!

Odd, I'm in the Cambs area too and my VirginMedia internet connection has dropped through the floor and way beyond in the last few days, starting getting 10% or more packet loss and download rate has dropped from around 8Mbits/s to nearer 0.2Mbits/s (I kid you not...), tests are showing that I can now upload at something like 2x the download rate too.

What have VM done in the Cambs area, cut a few cables...?
