Hi All

I always get a few T3 timeout per month but been having major issues with speed when i reboot modem it seems to be getting worse speed drops to 100KB/s then back to 6000KB/s on newsgroups then back to 100KB/s

Can anyone see anything wrong with levels?

Thanks in advance

I would call the 50Mb Support line on 0800 052 0431 if you are getting that many timeouts in such a short time as the must an issue somewhere with your connection.

The relevant event log would help. It contains other information.

Also, if you refresh your upstream stats, whaty does the power level do? Does it vary and does it rise above 55 dB,v or even 58 dBmv? If so that usually explains the T3s.

Having that many T3's in such a short time is reason enough to call regardless of the logs.;)

Ah -yes - but from a user perspective the OP might benefit from some dioagnosis here and tips on checking the connexion before letting the engineer go.

From my point of view he needs to call in but I see your point.;)

If he has not called by now he would be best to leave it until after 0800 tomorrow morning as he will probably get offshore now.;)
