Has Virgin started to supply wireless N routers now. I was promised one to replace my netgear G-router "as soon as the N-router came back into stock". Do I need to chase them?

Presumably when they roll out 100Mb downloads later this year they will have to supply something better than 100Mb port. 1000Mb ports are the way to go especially when 200Mb takes off.

I was thinking the same thing to be honest, the 100mb ports are touching on max when you get a 100mb service.

Trouble is the user will need to have gigabyte tech on their machines to benefit from 1000Mb ethernet. Many folk still only have 10/100Mb switches and ethernet cards and cables to match.

I have future proofed by installing Cat 5e and 6 cable and patch cables throughout the house with complimentary switches, cards etc.
