After upgrading to 50mb (...install went smoothly, no problems ;) ) .. I was just wondering if anyone on the forum has used VStuff either Backup or Storage, specifically how much have people uploaded?

They state that it is unlimited, but has anyone uploaded say 50GB or more to it?

I don't think you have enough time in this century to upload 50 gig on vstuff. The last time i tried it indicated 5 days to upload 2 gig

I decided there and then not to use it again. It is slower than a slow thing from planet slow on a slow day

Was that using VStuff Backup or the web interface for VStuff Storage?

All of it. I spent the time to install it all only to find it was very very slow in everything it did  Such a shame as it is a great idea

unlimited techincally would be 100-200gb but as logn as you only backup the same amoutn each day then it will be unlimited it hard to explain it depends on what your use it for and hwo you sue it suppose oyu could sya it fair usage policy

As VStuff is run on an independent platform on behalf of Virginmedia by Steek (http://www.steek.com/), I would rather doubt that they would let you upload much in the way of copyrighted media before blocking your access.:D

the VStuff Storage has a music section which I assume to mean you can place your music say purchased online for example.

Are you suggesting Mr Crawford that Steek manually review all the media files uploaded to their servers for copyright compliance?

If that is true the only thing to do would be upload them encrypted, but I don't see why that should be necessary if Virgin/Steek say you can store music and movies

They already are encrypted, my question above was rhetorical, I just wanted to clarify what Andrew meant with his remark about content being reviewed.

Secure
Data is encrypted, secure file transfer.

Steek have no idea what people are putting on their servers nor do they care, they would soon notice if someone were trying to use them as a rapidshare-a-like service by traffic and login patterns :)
