Thoughts?
It's been a while since I read the book, so I can't remember much of it, but I liked it.

I've not read the book (ok i hold my hands up!), but the OH is an avid reader and has stated on many occasions already that a particular person in the film did not say that line or do that etc. But on the whole i'm enjoying it so far ;)
I am rather disappointed that Gladys the golem has been apparently morphed into Mr Pump.I was looking forward to him/her finding her feminine side. Also three other characters that played a much important part in the story seem to have been written out.Maybe they will make a later appearance.
Otherwise it's pretty much near to the original except for the very last part in today's finale. That meeting wasn't due until much later.

Gladys is one of the 12. Mr Pump is faithful to the book so far.

Hmm. I know what you mean. I don't remember him meeting the Bane Sidhe quite that soon, I thought it was later that the confrontation happens. After the fire. I can't wait to see if they retain B.S. Johnson's Sorting machine using a circle where he had rounded the value of pi to 3.
Wasn't one of the characters C.M.O.T. Dibbler? And the horse scene certainly changed significantly.
