I watched both series of Life on Mars and the first few episodes of Ashes to Ashes, I didn't see the second series at all.

But I watched the first two episodes of series three and enjoyed them, I also want to know what it was all about and as the series creators said they were going to tie the two series togther I'm interested.

Did anyone else notice when the WPC was making the decision wether to stay or leave that it went dark for a couple of seconds and you could hear the Life on Mars song in the background?

I thought it was Chris, going by the build, height and hair, but Hunt is a good candidate. Perhaps it is supposed to be a story of what might have been, if he had survived.

Last nights episode was one of the best ever from any season of Ashes to Ashes. i'd go so far as to say it was right up there with the best of life on mars.

I wonder if Chris will have a LoM moment next week like Shaz and Ray have had in the last 2 episodes?

Well if you wanna wake someone up who's been knocked out, that's the way to do it. So he can bring people out of comas and wake them up when they're knocked out. Shoulda been a doctor.

Did they go into the pub and go back to being dead in their own time then?
I did enjoy it, but is confused.
Who was Keats? Was he going to take them to Hell in the lift?
Or are we meant to draw our own conclusions?

I thought the pub meant they were moving on from, for lack of a better word, purgatory.

imho, Keats was trying to get them to Hell

There's a good interview with the series creators in The Guardian. It also explains why Nelson and not Sam Tyler was seen at the Railway Arms

And I have to agree the last one was brilliant

Never did get round to watching the last 2/3 episodes until Fri just gone as first time round I didn't like S3, well Daniel Mays character Keats.
Still job done, better late than never!
