Hi I have a Samsung SMT2110c set top box set up with virgin media. i am experiencing a problem with it whereby when i boot it up it goes as far as AP52 then freezes up (it was working last night). I have accessed the engineers menu and found that the network address appears to be invalid... it says 09999 on it and tells me the address is invalid.

I have another STB which is a PACE box which shows up a network id as being valid and works beautifully.

Just wondering is it possible to use the same network id on more then one box and how do you do it if it is possible. how does one go about getting a network id as this is a chipped up box that I found in a bin, so i dont really want to go calling virgin customer services.

Thanks in advance.

It is not. You need to call virgin to get an engineer to look at it.

Ahh, just noticed you mentioned it is a chipped box. Using these is against the terms and conditions of service. If you want another box, you need to call Virgin and pay for it.
