Hi,

I moved my BB to VM about 4 months ago to get away from the 0.5mb service I was getting from BT.

At first it was amazing, signed up to the 20MB XL package and for the first week when using speedtest.net I was getting 59MB down! This settled down to a constant 15-18 for the next few months.

However, for the last month, after 5PM the internet is unusable, BBC homepage takes 2-3 minutes to load and gaming and video is a big no go.

I have called 15-20 times now, spoken to the complaints department, posted on the newsgroups but nothing is happening.

Could anyone on here lend a helping hand and some guidence?

I believe I am on the following node:

Are you ex-Telewest or ex-NTL?

I believe Bournemouth is an ex NTL area.

Bournemouth is ex-ntl, hanging off Southampton. OP is on a Cisco 10k and appears to use Knowsley DHCP servers.

The problem sounds like congestion or noise, and either way is a job for the newsgroups.

Thanks.

I have posted a couple of times on the newsgroup and not had much luck. I got a reply once saying they had tested it and there were no issues. Not sure how they would have tested without knowing account details etc.

Is there any VM tech on here that could have a look for me please?

I have been told on the newsgroup that it is a utilisation issue which has been passed to the network team.

Do you think this is a standard answer or will something actually be done?
