Even if there are 200Mb trailists on here part of thier trail conditions will be a non-disclosure agreement

I don't want 200Mb because our service is not up to the best quality , pretty very poor as it need to be fixed first - never mind 200Mb.

We have had a 200Mbit triallist post on here in the past.

Here he is: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/members/11858.html

I'm not bothered about 200Mbit down but I would kill to have 8Mbit up.

Shouldn't be too long before that's just a case of paying extra.

what i dont understand is...

if 50mb is going to have a 10mb upstream

Why are they testing 200mb with what looks like a max of 10mb upstream 2

They are testing all sorts of things, that was just the upstream on that trial at that time. 50Mbit has been tested with a 2.5, a 5 and a 10Mbit upstream, 1Mbit upstream has been tested on the 10Mbit service here and there in the past.

200Mbit is not a product at the moment and won't be for the foreseeable future.

They never said the 50Mbit would get the 10Mbit upload, its just a trial to see how far they can push the upload.

would be daft of them not to do that being that BT 40mb will offer upto 10mb upload.

Yep I've mentioned that all over the place - though like BT it may be an extra cost rather than a free upgrade.

It wouldn't be daft yet they could get away with it for a while longer but things do really need to start moving soon.

I just hope once the increased upload is offered, that it doesn't cause more upload issues for everyone else.

I don't proclaim to know the first thing about the ins and outs of fibre, but i can just see it now,

"guy down road maxes out his 50 Mb upload and everyone else in the neighbourhood gets reduced service "

I,m really looking forward to BT getting their act together, but I live in a heavily cabled area and my local BT exchange doesn't even offer LLU yet so god knows when this would be a viable alternative

People on the pre-50Mbit networks were able to max their download and cause problems for other people, eating 20Mbit out of 38Mbit made the maths a bit precarious.

It's always a risk but that's why there are capacity trials.
