Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can help work out what's going on here. I'm a broadband "L" (10Mb) customer. As of yesterday (Friday 4/12), I'm getting intermittent access failure. My Netgear router looks happy, the VM (Ambit) cable modem looks happy (all lights that should be on steady are), but nothing happening internet-wise. A restart of the CM works for a bit, but then it drops again.

Looking into the CM Log, I see this (with the restart in the middle):

... of which the "map reject" messages are something I've not seen before (from previous investigations, anyway).

Other info:

Downstream Receive Power Level : 5.4 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 40.0 dB

Upstream transmit Power Level : 48.0 dBmV

Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on?

Much appreciated

Matt

I have the same modem and I have never seen those messages in mine, it may be a fault on the Exchange and a call to Tech Support is in order.

Posted on the newsgroups, it's something that VM are aware of with the UBR and the T3/T4 counts (whatever they are). They're working with Motorola to try and resolve it, so we shall see :-)
