View Full Version : WNR2000 and my PS3 - can't get decent connection

Someone here kindly sent me some settings via Pm a while back but I deleted it by accident.

Anyway, I now have the WNR2000, 50meg, and my PS3 connected to it. My Xbox 360 was set to auto, and connects and downloads at full speed no problem. But the PS3 is being a pain.

I have left it on auto, set it in DMZ, done static I.P addresses - but the download speeds are very poor, never getting past 4meg-ish.

I have seen others complain of the same thing and I have no idea how to fix it. Has anyone here got ideal settings that I can try, and that are happy with the PS3 setup?

Thanks for any advice.

Have you portforwarded the ports http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm make sure you portforward these ports
Start Port End Port
PSN1 80 80
PSN2 443 443
PSN3 5223 5223
PSN4 3478 3479
PSN5 10070 10080
PSN6 10070 10070

PSN - Playstation Network

These are the ports i have forwarded in my router also i have noticed some games need portforwading also to get a good connection to host to find out which ports that need forwarding should be in the games manual
