Stargate Atlantis: How Many Seasons?

Simple questions:

1. How many seasons were made?
2. Is that the end of it?

I think it was 5 seasons that they made, and that the show was cancelled after that - is that correct?

2) Yes, unless the proposed TV/DVD movie ever finally gets made.

Stargate Extinction is the supposed Movie continuation of "Enemy at the Gate".

It warmed up nicely, after a bit of a meehhhh first season-and-a-half. I was quite sad to see it end when it did ... But the finale is quite satisfying as a conclusion.

I really liked Atlantis, although I preferred SG-1.

It's a shame that MGM's past financial troubles stopped us from ever getting any more TV movies.

I understand there are six books that carry on from the last episode so they'll be next on my list ;)

I have now finished it and am about to start the first book.

I did like it overall and indeed thought it picked up when Ronan Dex joined.

The last episode was ok I thought but not brilliant. I am looking forward to more.

I thought the last episode was rushed and ill thought out and looked as though a decision had been made to cancel the show as quickly as possible .I don't think there will be anymore ,the disastrous SG universe series made sure of that

Yeah, I remember thinking the finale was rushed. It would have been far better as a two-parter, I think. It also wasn't helped by the fact that at the time they thought they were going to be able to continue things with a TV movie to tie everything off and properly finish off the series.

Also, the wormhole drive was a huge deus ex machina.

I wish Atlantis had carried on, instead of them doing Universe.

There may be some more films, according to Wikipedia.

In the fall of 2013, original Stargate (film) Director Roland Emmerich was granted the rights to reboot the Stargate Franchise into a new trilogy of movies, set for release in 2015.
