there is a big virgin media hub thing and also a router, i thought the router did it all, it did with my adsl broadband, i cant think were to put this other big hub thing.

Cable is different to ADSL, the hub thing is a Modem and is required for your services to work (and is also VM's property) I wouldn't put it in an unaccessible place as you occasionally need to reboot them if you have any issues

ok, ive just paid £41 for the D-Link RangeBooster DWA547 Wireless-N 300mbps

its a little more than i wanted to pay (around £30), but i paid extra on delivery to make it come tomorrow, which aint bad seeing as its already 22:35pm :)

hey guys, are you guys sure its 50mb?

ive been downloading on newsbin for over 15 minutes now and its still stating between 90-100mb / 9-11.mbps at the bottom, and im only downloading headers.

So they managed to register your modem OK?
So when they tell me that they can't register my modem and it is affecting all new modems they are, in fact, not telling the whole truth?
Mine was installed on Monday and I have been without BroadBand ever since.

yeah, my modem is working - did it on his little portable device touch screen thing.
