So, basically at the moment I have an 18 month contract for the tv, phone and 20MB broadband.

I'm looking to upgrade to 50MB in the near future and had a look online and it appears I would have to pay £15 more for 50mb which is more than they advertising it for new customers.

Is there anyway that I could get this cheaper than £15 extra a month even though I'm in contract at the moment?

Or am I at their mercy since I am still tied into a contract and they have no reason to give me any sort of deal?

I've been with Virgin/NTL since the mid-late 90's for all my services and just think I am entitled to some sort of deal considering my loyalty.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

As I am aware the bill system shows as £45 and then your discounts will add up and make it so your paying around £8 extra

I phoned today to ask how much it would be to upgrade to 50Mb from my XL TV with V+ box and 20Mb BB but no phone, and was told it would be another £16 per month taking it from the current £42.57 to £59.50 per month (although how that is £16, I dont' know).

It would seem that everyone get's told a different story depending on who they get on the phone.

You'd have thought so wouldn't you. You're entitled to precisely nowt.

It would seem that everyone get's told a different story depending on who they get on the phone.

Sounds pretty commensurate with my experiences with VM.

I think it could be costing you more because you have no phone with them.

I do have a phone with them, I have everything with them.

Anyway, I called up today and got quoted £28 extra a month for it, because I would apparently lose all of my loyalty discounts.

How that works I don't know?

That can't be right surely?
