Slow speeds since friday

I'm on the 10Mbps package, and have always gotten it, but since Friday I've been getting 0.9Mbps. Sometimes as high as 600ms ping to London.

I'm in the Peterborough area. Any techs know of any outstanding problems in this area? Or maybe my local loop just got horribly oversubscribed?

are you using a router? or direct connection? you need to check to see if anyone is hijacking your wifi, and check speeds when directly connected to the modem. it doesn't look like you're being managed, cause you would get 25% of bandwidth ie 2.5meg.

also please post you're modem levels, see here (http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12/26006-cable-modem-signal-levels.html) for how, and someone will let you know if they are cool:) also have you checked the service status page for problems? its here (http://status-cable.virginmedia.com/vmstatus/summary.do)

It seems possibly to have resolved itself, but it's 3pm, if it gets worse later I'm just going to assume it's oversubscribed.

Router etc is all fine. Already checked the status page, didn't find anything relevant, that's why I asked here before I rang up.

Can't check modem levels, haven't been able to log into the modem for a good number of years now for some reason. (it's a flat silver ambit, possibly ntl 100)
