skybox picture issues - connected by scart (picture is green/lines)

hi guys

i have a sky box....which i use as a freeview and the contract has ended, but the image quality seems to have gone pear-shaped over the last few months..
alot of the channels are not clear - and have lines running through them or the colour is dark...

does anyone know what the problem could be?

Have you tried a different scart lead it could be the scart lead is breaking down

Dish, cables, LNB, Box.... to name but a few options. What are you signal levels like?

how do i check signal levels....my contract has ended - they havent turned it off down skys end have they?

Unless you stop paying your subs no lol After 12 months the box is your property and that's all that changes. Signal levels are in the services menu I think, which sky box have you got?

Even after you stop paying them subscriptions the box should continue to work perfectly and at full power. They cannot remotely 'turn it off'. All they can do is stop you receiving the encrypted channels that you have to pay for. The free channels should be unchanged.
