Well the time is upon us with Sons of Anarchy already on ep2, Bones and Fringe starting tonight.. CSI (all 3), NCIS(plus LA spin-off) and many others starting next week.

There's also some new series that look really good

Eastwick (witches of eastwick series) on the 23nd
Flashforward on the 24th
SG-universe on the 2nd Oct
V on the 3rd November

And three new hospital dramas (Mercy on the 23rd, Trauma on the 28th and Three Rivers on the 4th Oct)

Anyone else with any dates?

I'm looking forward to the V remake as the preview looks good and true to the original

Details of these series and more can be found HERE (http://www.imdb.com/features/fall_tv_preview/2009/)

Heroes is back on the 28th, going to be watching as soon as possible, I just hope this series will actually be worth it unlike the last series.

House on the 21st Sept! Hurrah! Gutted The Unit isn't coming back though.

Won't be very far behind in the UK either, I believe they're finishing the current season and then going straight onto the new one, same with Cold Case

Oh and if anyone likes Bones, the first ep of the new series is being shown today on Fox

Does anyone know when Chuck starts again?

Damien
17-09-2009, 15:11
FlashForward and Glee are the ones I shall initially check out. Others may generate good buzz as I can watch those as well later on.

In the meantime House and The Office US for me. House really is good, it's got better as well. The end of season 4 and the Kutner episode of season 5 were amazingly good.

There about a million Vampire shows starting...

I have a whole list of dates at home (at work atm)

Some have already started (Supernatural and Diary of a Vampire both kicked off last week).

As I recall, Chuck is currently not due until about Feb 2010 (only 13 eps as well).

Of the new shows, I'm looking forward to...

V, SG:U, & Flashforward.

Of the returning shows, I'm looking forward to...

Dollhouse, Fringe, Dexter, & Burn Notice (don't know when that's back though).

Not too fussed about Heroes anymore, although I'll continue watching it.

There about a million Vampire shows starting...

I blame "Twilight" for that :(

Stupid "teenage girl wants a vampire boyfriend" crap...

As I recall, Chuck is currently not due until about Feb 2010 (only 13 eps as well).

March apparently :(

House on the 21st Sept! Hurrah! Gutted The Unit isn't coming back though.

I second both the Hurrah for House and the Gutted-ness (if thats a word :)) about no more The Unit. I really enjoyed The Unit and I find House really funny at times

Burn Notice is normally an easter premiere..

Currently watching the pilot of Vampire diaries and it's not what I expected... very much turning into a twilight series!!!

Tezcatlipoca
17-09-2009, 21:14
Easter?! :(

Yeah, I have heard that "The Vampire Diaries" is rather "Twilight"ish, & most of the posts I've read at DS about the eps so far have been very negative. Not my kind of thing at all.

cimt
17-09-2009, 21:27
I'm sure it's before Easter because there's still 6 episodes left of season 3.

Look at season 3.

Looking at the 3 previous series of burn notice thier start months were June 07, July 08 and June 09..

This won't be season 4 starting though, it's the second half of season 3 after the mid-season hiatus.

Season 2 started in July 2008, went on hiatus in September 2008, and returned in January 2009.

Season 3 started in June 2009, and went on hiatus in August 2009...

@Matt, TnX for the update about it being the mid-season break (dopey me) There's though still no start date for S3B on IMDB though on thier forums they're quoting Jan 2010

does anyone know which channel will be showing the v remake in the uk?

Paul
17-09-2009, 23:22
No idea, but it starts in the US in November.

Dexter, Dollhouse, Numb3rs, Simpsons and Smallville all start at the end of September.

Stargate: Universe and Santuary start in October.

Legend of the Seeker in November.

Lost and Caprica in Jan 2010

does anyone know which channel will be showing the v remake in the uk?

Nope. Not been announced yet.

I'm hoping for...anyone other than ITV.

Sky1 would be good, they know how to treat "cult"/"genre" shows. The Beeb could be good too, or SciFi, or even Virgin (although unfortunately there's no Virgin 1 HD).

Legend of the Seeker in November.

Ah, I forgot about that one. Be good when that's back too, really enjoyed season 1 :)

I watched both of them earlier. I was impressed with both episodes. Fringe was pretty trippy but hey, that's what happens when J.J. Abrams writes an episode.

Anyone seen the new animation ARCHER ??

The style reminds me of the person who did the images for GTA3:SA

BTW...don't what it if you're offended by sexual humour and don't let the kids watch it :)

Just watched ep1 of Eastwick and I must admit to not recognising Constable Fraser until I checked the actor of IMDB :) Quite enjoyed it but will be interesting once the leave the film storyline behind..

Ep1 of Mercy was OK but I'll reserve judgement until the characters are more settled..

NCIS:LA is really trying to glitz up the NCIS profession..not as believable as the original. Perhaps another case of a show made around a big star (which worked for CSI:NY but not sure about here..only time will tell)

I just don't get what made them choose Cleveland, he has to be the weakest secondary character. Have to admit I haven't even seen it yet but do they at least have Quagmire with him? Because thats the only time I really find him funny, the two characters work really well together.

After seeing ep2 of NCIS:LA I really do think they're onto a loser unless they change it from this changed styling.. Why are they trying to mess about with the NCIS format?? CSI brought in two shows to extend the format without major change as the show worked, NCIS in it's own right works so why the change??

Hom3r

Any news on CSI:London? I had heard that they where looking several spin offs from CSI so you could have a different version for every day of the week.

I see what you mean about CSI. Although all of them are basically the same format, all of them are totally different shows.

I guess with NCIS:LA, they wanted to show a different department like they did with JAG and NCIS.

:( Trauma's already been cancelled (no more after the original 13 eps) in favour of Mercy and a possible early return (plus an extra 6 eps) of chuck

Trauma I found a hell of a lot better than mercy
